Public Works & Engineering Department (PWE) has completed improvement of inlets in Old Baytown. Nine grate inlets were converted to curb inlets to allow more water to drain and prevent debris from clogging the inlets. An overflow pipe was installed in Oklahoma to help carry storm water from high intensity storms.

PWE is obtaining an estimate to improve the drainage in the area of Texas Avenue and Felton/Pruett. A project for this area was submitted in the proposed FY20 budget.

Allenbrook, Edgebrook, Narcille and Colby are scheduled to be reconstructed as part of the 2019 Street Reconstruction Program. A consultant has been selected and a Notice To Proceed given on 10/07/2019 for the design. The project scope will include drainage improvements. 

A drainage improvement project funded by Community Development Block Grant for the Texas Avenue / S. Main area is in the design phase.
