City staff developed a plan that considers how long striping lasts based on the traffic volumes of each street segment (i.e. the striping needs to be replaced on streets with higher traffic volumes more often) and will use this plan to request annual funding, which may vary from year to year. The amount allocated to striping in FY19 is $300,000.

The selected striping contractor failed to make significant progress, so his contract was cancelled and the project was rebid and awarded to a new contractor.
