In the first quarter of 2018-19, crews completed construction of the new 6 foot wide concrete loop trail around Ward Road Park. 

In addition, Parks Crews cleared the path through Jenkins Park and the wooded area near Cary Bayou for trail construction. Milled asphalt was put down and compacted for the trail and in May, crews finished the trail by topping the asphalt with 2 inches of decomposed (crushed) granite. The connecting trail is currently under construction and expected to be completed by early fall.

All three easements necessary to complete the Blue Heron/Crockett Park connector trail have been obtained and recorded. Staff are working with the Harris County Flood Control District Watershed Coordination Department for approval of design plans. Once approved, construction on the trail will begin and should be complete by spring 2020. 

The City's concrete contractor recently completed over 125 feet of trail repair at Allenbrook Park .

Finally, Parks crews have installed directional signage and decorative trail heads along the Goose Creek Trail.
