The Part 1 Crime Rate is determined by looking at the number of Part 1 crimes reported to law enforcement agencies per 100,000 total population. Part 1 crimes include violent crime (criminal homicide, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault) and property crime (burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft and arson). The first chart highlights the 12-month rolling average for Part 1 Crime Rate in Baytown. The second chart shows the actual crime rate for a given month and the average for that month looking back three years.
