The City has started the implementation of an asset management software, Cityworks. It has been implemented in Public Works for Streets, Traffic, Baytown Area Water Authority's Surface Water Treatment Plant, and the Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant. Public Works has also hired an Asset Manager to implement this system. Future phases of Cityworks will include solid waste, water distribution, wastewater collection, storm drainage, fleet maintenance, facility maintenance and warehouse operations.
