Track Deliverables for the Economic Development Service Contract with Sierra Business Council
Implement Last Mile Broadband Projects (Round 1)

Q1-23
Highlights from Q1 (January - March 2023) include:
Hosted quarterly meeting with Western Nevada County recreation and park districts to establish 2023 priorities and identify target grant opportunities;
Approved/awarded $100,000 from
Nevada County Community Resiliency Fund
to Bear River Recreation and Park District for turf field replacement and initiated gap loan request to bridge funds from Prop 68 reimbursable grant; and
Continued development of Nevada County Recreation Resource Guides for www.NevadaCountyCA.gov/Recreation and GoNevadaCounty.com.
Next Steps

Plans for Q2 (April - June 2023) include:
Submit CalTrans Clean California Local Grant Program grant for the
Penn Valley Parkway Beautification and Visitor Safety Project;
Host quarterly meeting with Western Nevada County recreation and park districts and review draft MOU for administrative support from county staff; and
Plan ribbon cutting for Bear River Recreation and Park District turf field grand opening.
