Progress Update

Q1-23

Highlights from Q1 (January through March 2023) includes:

  • Collaborated with the Economic Resource Council and Valley Vision, the regional convener for the Community Economic Resiliency Fund (CERF) to offer presentations to the business community and Board of Supervisors on the rollout of the planning state of CERF.
  • Submitted a funding request on behalf of Public Work's roundabout project at the intersection of Rough and Ready Highway and Ridge Road.
  • Coordinated with the county's grant coordinator to identify potential funding for projects. Shared potential grant opportunities with external partners including economic partners, major project leads, small businesses, and nonprofits.

Next Steps

Q1-23

Plans for Q2 (April through June 2023) include:

  • Begin the process to develop a comprehensive and collaborative economic development action plan.  
  • Determine if the county wants to proceed with the Community Choice Aggregation program through Pioneer Energy and what next steps and timeline should be.
  • Continue to focus on grant and funding opportunities for county projects and local partners and businesses.
  • More fully engage in the Community Economic Resiliency Fund (CERF) project as Valley Vision rolls out next steps.
