Building permits and fees fluctuate from year to year based on the amount of projects anticipated and businesses that choose to make substantial investments in Eden Prairie. 

The City continues to monitor and manage the budget for building permits and fee revenue. The City wants to avoid being too aggressive and causing potential mid-year operational challenges, but also recognizes that increased development activity will boost revenue and service demand.
