Description

Charlottesville Area Transit measures efficiency and productivity by counting passenger trips. Each time a person boards a CAT bus, one trip is counted.
Analysis

Ridership has trended downward since FY 2012. There were service reductions in FY 2013 and FY 2015 that contributed to this trend. There has been a nationwide downward trend in transit ridership due to low fuel prices as well.
