Analysis

The five year average percentage of third grade students reading at or above grade level in the city of Charlottesville is 75.04% with a high of 82.86% in FY 2015 and a low of 70.21% in FY 2016. The overall state of Virginia pass rate for the FY 2016 school year was 75.6 %. Although Charlottesville's rate in FY 2016 was below the state average, the five year average for Charlottesville is consistent with the FY 2016 state rate.
