Description

This chart shows the number of homeless individuals who are unsheltered, temporarily sheltered, or in transitional housing. This number is derived from a one-day point-in-time count conducted each January.
Analysis

The number of homeless people identified in the point-in-time census decreased from a high of 156 in 2013 to a six-year low of 123 in 2016. During this time, the Thomas Jefferson Area Coalition for the Homeless (TJACH) has initiated several initiatives to address homelessness including rapid rehousing and homelessness prevention.
