Description |
The use of firearms in the commission of crime ranges from displaying firearms as a means of intimidation, firing shots into the air, and shooting persons in acts of violence.
Categories of incident based reports that capture the use of firearms include Shots Fired, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, and Homicide among other various weapons law offenses.
The neighborhoods targeted for special observation here are those very same ones observed for disorder calls-for-service: Downtown, Fifeville, Prospect/Orangedale Ave, and Westhaven. They have been singled out in the past by department executives in cooperation with city council for special attention.
