Description

The Police Department has maintained steady and thorough speed enforcement in the city throughout the years. The department regularly issues summonses for 12 different types of speeding violation under the Code of Virginia and local ordinances, and regularly conducts targeted speeding enforcement operations in areas of high complaints or demonstrable need. 


Analysis

The Police Department continues to generate speeding tickets in excess of 450 each quarter.
