Description

This  measure reports the number of public accommodation discrimination complaints received by the office, based on each of the protected classes.

Analysis

The total reported complaints based on the protected classes may be higher than the total reported complaints alone. This is because some complaints involve alleged discrimination based on more than one protected class.


CY2014 

Data on protected class was only reported for employment and public accommodation.


CY2015 through CY2017

Data on protected class was aggregated across all protected activities and is represented in Objective 1 Measure 5.


CY2018 

Total public accommodation complaints = 1


CY2019 

Total public accommodation complaints = 5


CY2020 

The OHR received no public accommodation complaints. It did receive one inquiry alleging public accommodation discrimination in Charlottesville. The alleged discrimination was outside the jurisdiction of the OHR.
