This measure reports the number of housing discrimination complaints received by the office, based on each of the protected classes.

Analysis | |
The total reported complaints based on the protected classes may be higher than the total reported complaints alone. This is because some complaints involve alleged discrimination based on more than one protected class.
CY2014
Data on protected class was only reported for employment and public accommodation.
CY2015 through CY2017
Data on protected class was aggregated across all protected activities and is represented in Objective 1 Measure 5.
CY2018 Total housing complaints by protected class = 6
CY2019
The OHR received only one complaint of housing discrimination on the basis of sex. The Complainant chose not to pursue further action after finding a remedy with the landlord.
CY2020
The OHR received one complaint of housing discrimination on the basis of race. This complaint was still under investigation at the close of 2020.
