Staffing study should be released in March. RTCC received a sergeant on long-term loan to supervise the evening shift.

We received the staffing study and the recommendation is to add 3 additional officers and one sergeant.  Patrol has released one sergeant who is currently staffing the evening/midnight shift.  Unknown when the other 3 officers will be released and added.

  • CTU has been established internally by taking officers from Narcotics, Gang, and Intel.  6 other officers have been loaned to the project from SRT on a trial basis with no guarantee that Patrol will be allowed to stay.  They are measuring the success of the program, as are we, however Patrol is doubtful of its success.  Notes will be compared in March to see if this unit is effective.  Either way CTU will remain and 6 additional officers will be taken internally from Tactical Command if Patrol decides to remove SRT.  CTU is in the process of completing training in regards to search warrants.

    No other update this cycle.

Staffing study revealed that CTU needs 2 sergeants, 1 corporal, and 16 officers.  We are currently awaiting decisions made by Patrol whether to release the 6 SRT officers and will need to find I sergeant and 4 officers to complete the recommendation.
