Sworn and civilian employees are encouraged to provide their ideas and on how to address ongoing crime problems. There are frequent conversations with officers, supervisors and citizens with ideas/solutions. There has been much dialogue between command staff and officers to get input on how police procedures may function more smoothly. Members of the East command staff have been making roll calls to speak with officers face to face about departmental issues. As well, East Division participates in the monthly Crime Action Meeting at Bob Bolen on the last Wednesday of each month to talk about patrol issues.
