NPOs worked with the Procedural Justice Unit and the Northside Neighborhood Association and the Northside Area Improvement group to focus on ways to improve the communities within Northwest Division and illicit additional assistance from citizens in the community.  The NPOs collaborated with homeless placement organizations in addition to the FWPD Homeless coordinator.  Our priority when dealing with the Homeless is to first educate them and offer assistance so they can become a productive citizen within the community.  This month we made contact with approximately 21 homeless individuals from two different camps and offered assistance.  We still need to follow-up to determine if any took advantage of the assistance offered. This is ongoing.
