We have held weekly crime meetings to discuss ongoing crime trends in the division with the chain of command. We have also held the COP Captains monthly meeting. We have held a total of 94 Focus Group meetings that included the community and police employees. These meetings included Police-Initiated, Neighborhood / HOA and COP meetings.

NPOs continue to work with Code Compliance in correcting issues that face North West.  These issues and remedies are noted in the weekly report for each NPO in Northwest Division.  I personally as the commander NW DIV drive the neighborhoods in order to address any quality of life issues. We continue to coordinate all city resources as needed to respond to citizen complaints or quality of life issues that arise. Each NPO walked/drove their respective beats; they contact Code Enforcement once a week on homeless camps and the Homeless coordinator in order to seek assistance for the homeless. We set up an event where the NPOS went out and addressed Homeless camps in NW division while working with two Fort Worth Marshall's who I asked to assist. During this detail I had our Bike Certified NPO's ride the area while addressing the homeless in the area. We took down several camps this day.  In addition, they discuss with code the areas of blight (tall grass, parking in yard, substandard structures, dumping) within their beat as well communicate with specialized units to assist with problem establishments. NPO's are utilizing the MYFW app to address code complaint issued and have passed this information along to citizens are the meetings we are attending. Met with code on 30 occasions this month to address quality of life issues.

NPO Vanbrunt continues to try and increase the number of attendees at his meetings in the business and small residential area he has an C15's beat. He has met with the Melody Hills community this month to try and get more people to become part of the neighborhood watch program and COP program. He attended the Melody Hills Crime watch meeting as well. Officer Vanbrunt has also been in contact with the businesses in his area. NPO Vanbrunt continues to coordinate with Dorothy Tyler the Crime Prevention Specialist to address issues at his meetings. NPO Vanbrunt also had 19 business contacts during this month. 

NPO Vanbrunt continues to try an gain the number of attendees at his meetings in the business and small residential area he has an C15's beat. . Officer Vanbrunt has also been in contact with the businesses in his area. NPO Vanbrunt continues to coordinate with Dorothy Tyler the Crime Prevention Specialist to address issues at his meetings. NPO Vanbrunt also had 9 business contacts during the month of November. The apartment complex that has failed to cooperate with NPO Vanbrunt has come under a new manager this month. NPO Vanbrunt reached out again with great success. The new manager is posting signs and getting the residents to attend. This group will most likely turn into a new crime watch group for the complex as long as they continue to attend the meetings. The Mercantile Square new manager is continuing to be a great help and has also assisted in evicting a drug dealer we were made aware of on a call for service that ended up with shots being fired and damage to a property.

Our crime action committee consists of patrol supervisors, NPO officers, SRT, CIU, Metal Recycling Officers and Property Crimes Officers, Captain and Commander.  Each one of us is tasked with monitoring the crime rate/trends within the division and bringing input to the table at the monthly meeting for crime prevention/reduction strategies.

The NW Division continues to utilize the Homeless detail with Officer F. Conchas and Officer D. Gomez to help and assist the homeless within the division. The unit is enforcing the criminal activity conducted by some of the homeless as well as providing them with assistance and education on improvement of quality of life. The unit has continued to identify the homeless community and uncover some of the camps that are at times concealed by the various parks. Once a camp site has been discovered, clean up has been addressed on whether it needs it or not. Code is also assisting with removal of these camps once located. The unit has collaborated with the NPOs assigned to the particular beat to ensure that active enforcement and education is being forthcoming. The NPO's are utilizing this unit when checking homeless camps on their beats. We set up a homeless detail with all the NPO's and had code enforcement along with the two homeless officers assist with this detail. We were able to write several citations, make several arrests, and remove some camps that were located. The Northwest NPOS also conducted a homeless detail in Charlie and David. Those that were bike certified were riding the area as well as the non bike certified Officers driving the area addressing the homeless complaints. 

The NW Division NPO's were unable to utilize the NW Homeless team due to their current situation this month. We have reached out to the Hope Team on several occasions this month. The NW NPO's have been following up on their homeless complaints as normal.

We held Community Partner meetings this month (All NPOs held meetings on their beats this month).  The NPO's initiated a Kids ID event in C14, a Human Trafficking Presentation for businesses (D13), Lemonade With A Cop (D15), Northside Homecoming Parade (C16), assisted Waves of Faith Church with a back pack handout, attended Cook's Children's Urology event (C13), attended Manuel Jara's Career Day, attended Lockheed Martin's Security meeting (D13), a September 16 parade, and a Homeless / Bike patrol Detail in Charlie / David.                                                                                                    These meetings emphasized the involvement of our COPs members, our NPO's and the community to build a stronger committed relationship between the Police Department and the communities in which we serve.

We have also been patrolling on bikes when there was time due to the heavy schedule this month. These meetings emphasized the involvement of our COPs members, our NPO's and the community to build a stronger committed relationship between the Police Department and the communities in which we serve.

The NPO's assisted code in several Code compliance nuisance abatement warrants in which NPOS went out with code to provide them with protection during these warrants. Code assisted with the clean up of these properties. NPOS also located several homeless camps and worked with code on these locations. We are also utilizing the Homeless team in regards to these locations as well or in help with the homeless. We are also now utilizing the MYFW APP to place in some of these complaints The citizens are being told about this app as well and how to utilize it.

They have worked with narcotics to identify problem areas and also game rooms that have re-opened.  Every NPO increased positive citizen contacts this quarter in regards to reaching out and meeting new people to attend their meetings.

NPOS conducted a homeless detail / bike detail for NW Division and had the assistance of Code Compliance and the Fort Worth Marshall's. Arrests, Citations, and General Complaint Citations were written as well as several camps dispersed.  Code Blue were contacted to reach out to see who would like to volunteer to assist with future Kids Id events. 3 code blue members also assisted with a search detail looking for a missing 11 year old. The child was located. 

NW NPO's have been in contact with the HOPE team member in regards to the homeless issues in NW. We continue to utilize these available resources to assist in the field. Code Blue were contacted to assist us this month as well several times. Code blue assisted with their daily patrols and were also asked to keep an eye out for package thefts in their areas due to the increased activity this time of year. They were asked to call out that they were on a package theft detail for tracking purposes. We have also been organizing a X-mas party for the code blue members all month. This event will occur on December 3 at the River Ranch Event center in the Stockyards.
