Goal 3: Reduce calls for service response times.

Strategic Direction
Program Information

The core functions that the Fort Worth Police Department performs are responding to the public’s request for service, crime prevention, solving crimes that have already occurred, and providing solutions for crime, violence, and other issues. FWPD must collaborate with the community in order to perform these core functions effectively. Responding to calls for service takes up the majority of a patrol officer’s time. Over the past five years, calls for service where an officer arrived on scene averaged approximately 297,000 annually.
