The Fort Worth Police Department is committed to hiring high quality, motivated police applicants with an emphasis on diversity and community reflection. The Backgrounds Unit processes over 100 backgrounds each month. The goal from fiscal years 2016-2021 is to hire and commission between 612-624 police applicants.
