1.1-C Create a Community Outreach Team with existing resources by FY18 to assist in educating the community about various public safety initiatives and attending and organizing community events.

CERT and Explorer coordinators supporting drive-through virus testing sites for members of the public in NW and South divisions.  Continued to distribute PPE supplies to field divisions.  Supplied bilingual personnel at test sites.
Working on curriculum for on-line and virtual classes and presentations.  Coordination with Tarrant County DA concerning related class presentations related to COP's and of interest to citizens.

Began a Citizens Police Academy Class in a virtual / on-line format.  As the COVID restrictions begin to be lifted, in-person attendees can be included in these presentations.

    1.2-C Increase monthly face-to-face interactions between the community and police personnel through neighborhood park and ride patrols, community service walks, and at various community events. Encourage cross-trained beat officers to ride bicycles.

    The Commanders have been tasked with coming up with creative methods to increase face-to-face interactions. North and South Command Patrol Commanders did not hold any safety fairs or community events due to COVID19. Events included Christmas Stockings events at Carter Park Elementary and Rosedale Plaza Park, East Division shop with a cop, and a Christmas shopping event with Cops 4 Kids and True Love Sanctuary.

    Explorers conducted one training session, before being shut down again due to resurgence of COVID virus.  

    In processing new FWPD Explorers and began outfitting with uniforms and equipment items.

    Conducted an effort which distributed around 200 care packages to local area nursing homes and supplies to the the main FTW animal control shelter

    Completed book drive for Maudie Walton Elementary school which resulted in over 1100 donated books after their library was damaged by fire

    Organized and distributed cards for elderly citizens and nursing home citizens from the FWPD as part of the outreach programs.
