Customers submit projects to be reviewed by the Stormwater Development Services (SDS) service area for completeness and acceptance by the City. The reviews are performed by City Staff as well as outside by Engineers contracted by the City. It is important to track this metric as the applicant can not move forward on their project until an accepted review is complete. The FY 2017 target of 65% within 10 business days reflects the SDS Team's priority to have a quick turnaround time while also giving strong consideration to good customer service throughout the review process. Integrated Stormwater Management (iSWM) is a comprehensive drainage review comprised of plans and models that look at the impacts downstream due to the increased run off of a land improvement. iSWM takes a look at the those impacts with respect to Hydraulics, Hydrology, and Engineering of the existing and propose improvements. There are two phases which address different issues; the Preliminary iSWM and the Final iSWM. The Preliminary iSWM is a requirement for the approval of the Preliminary Plat and the Final iSWM plan is a requirement for the Final Plat. In addition to the iSWM there are Infrastructure Plan Review Center (IPRC) plans. IPRC is run by a different service area, but the drainage aspect of those plans is also reviewed in between the Preliminary and Final iSWM review by the SDS Team. There might also be other items to be reviewed during iSWM, such as Stormwater Facility Maintenance Agreements (SWFMA), Easement abandonment, Variances, and encroachments that may accompany a project. These items involve the collaboration of many departments such as as Real Properties, Project Facilitation, and the Legal Department. The SDS Team works with these departments to ensure that the drainage review moves steadily along in the process until it arrives at the Final iSWM.
