Measure Definition & Importance |
The Neighborhood Services Department, Compliance Division is responsible for ensuring that federal, state and local funds are expended in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations. To achieve this, public service agencies and affordable housing providers, as well as internally administered housing and social services programs, are subject to regular monitoring reviews. When violations of regulations are identified, monitoring findings are issued and corrective action required. Though in many instances protracted followup may be required to clarify requirements and resolve disputes, the goal is to confirm that corrective action was implemented within 45 days of issuance of the monitoring letter.
