Measure Definition & Importance |
The purpose of the Neighborhood Development service area is to engage partners, invest federal entitlement funds, and leverage resources as tools to develop, revitalize, and stabilize neighborhoods. As a majority of the City's funds for these activities come from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Neighborhood Services Department works to utilize some of these funds to increase access to affordable housing.

Mayor and Council Communications (M&C's) are agenda items that City staff utilize to recommend funding by the City Council. The Fort Worth Housing Finance Corporation (FWHFC) is an entity that serves as a housing development arm of the City, financing the cost of development of single- and multifamily dwellings. A spreadsheet will track the number of units approved for funding by the City Council and the FWHFC Board and will be maintained by the Administrator of the FWHFC, who is also an approver for M&C's.
