Measure Definition & Importance |
Community Action Agency's mission is to transition families out of poverty and into self-sufficiency. The time to reach this goal can be longer than a year, but one can measure increases in income. It is significant to track these increases in income becuase it allows the caseworker and the client to see the progress being made, and to ensure the client remains on task. The funding is from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, and can provide job and skills training to clients, purchase of books, uniforms and other needs, rental assistance and can be used to remove barriers to achieving self sufficiency.
