Providing capital project information to the community is a top priority for the City of Fort Worth. Capital Projects are projects that construct or extend the useful life of an asset that are capitalized, require multi-year appropriations and/or are non-recurring annually are capital projects. These projects include capital maintenance, buildings, infrastructure and intangible assets.
This information informs the community about construction in their neighborhoods and how voter-approved funds are being spent. Project information is housed on the city's website because this is the central depository of information for city services. When project public meetings begin at the conceptual design phase (30% design), the public needs information available about the project so they can be informed throughout the project process.

The P6 Database is the data source for project information. Information includes project number, title, schedule,scope, status and key contacts. This information is updated monthly by project control specialists. Communications staff reviews the information quarterly and posts project informatin on the website so it is accessible to the public. In addition, website analytics provide posting dates and status. It is both pieces of data that are needed to track and measure this performance.
