Measure Definition & Importance |
Utility Administration is responsible for maintaining and tracking utility invoice information received in the City's electric and Natural Gas utility invoices. Invoice information received includes energy consumption and energy cost data for all city facilities and assets. Reporting consumption and cost to the City's largest energy users will help these departments become more aware of their impact on City's energy consumption and expenses, help with department efforts of energy convervation; related to legislative Senate Bill 898 (ongoing to Senate bill 241) Energy Conservation, and Department budget contruction and maintenance. Tracking compliance of data reporting availabilty and provision will ensure Utility Administration accountabilty to the City's effort on Energy Conservation and City Transparency.

Invoice information received; including energy consumption and energy cost data for all city facilities and assets is currently being tracked within Microsoft Access. Monthly; through an access query, Utility Administration's Energy Compliance Analyst will provide monthly reports to the City's largest energy user departments including; 020 Transportation & Public Works, 024 Public Events, 035 Police, 036 Fire, 055 Aviation, 060 Water, 070 Sewer, and 080 Park & Recreation and evaluate accordingly per standard of KPI reporting requirements of report provision compliance.
