Measure Definition & Importance |
When a replacement vehicle is purchased and delivered, then City departments turn in the used vehicle for auction. This measure tracks the auction/disposal of used city vehicles. Used city vehicles are turned in to PMD-Fleet. PMD-Fleet staff will decommission the vehicle by removing accessories (decals, light bars, telematic units, etc.) that can be reused on the new fleet vehicle. The Fleet Buyer will coordinate with the city's contracted auction vendor to prepare the vehicle for the online auction.
The target is to dispose 100% of the vehicles that are turned in by City departments within 90 days.
