Measure Definition & Importance |
The percentage of new development or redevelopment projects formally approved by TIF Boards or by City Council that exceed one hundred and fifty percent of the current (for that year) per acre taxable value within the targeted area in which they are located as indicated by the project investment commitments and by the Tarrant Appraisal District respectively.
Data for this measure is captured quarterly for general tracking purposes, but the target is only applied to the accumulated data (period Q4).

The data is found in the Economic Development Department's shared folder in an Excel file named Targeted Areas Annual Performance. The measures contained within the file is generated using data from the Tarrant Appraisal District along with the investment levels committed to by each project approved in that year. Note that while the investment might occur in a subsequent year, the calculation will be based on the value of the total commitment associated for the project in all years.
