Measure Definition & Importance |
Use Days is defined as any area in the facility occupied for any activity (i.e. On a Sunday there is a Luncheon in a Meeting Room-1 Use Day; Car Show in Exhibit Hall-1 Use Day; Move in for a Concert in Arena-1 Use Day= (3) Use Days for Sunday). The Director of Sales is responsible for long and short term booking strategies to maximize revenue/usage opportunities for FWCC and the City. Sales managers' market segments are evaluated and reassignments are conducted every year based upon trends, current and past revenue from each segment and hotel room rates. Our long term sales team is Visit Fort Worth (formerly the Fort Worth Convention and Visitors Bureau (FWCVB) who controls the bookings 18 months and out. Our sales staff works with Visit Fort Worth to book national and regional conventions, tradeshows, meetings and events. Our sales staff back-fills the business within 18 months with short term opportunities such as pharmaceutical launches, corporate programs and tradeshows. The Director of Sales identifies need dates at the Center with availability of downtown hotels rooms. Special effort and considerations is given to fill these dates.

Data Source Details & Calculation Information |
The division's Sales team tracks Use Days for each event in the "Statistics" tab for that event in the department's Event Business Management System (Ungerboeck). The statistics are totaled and reported with the variance shown based on the previous year, with an explaination as to why there might be a variance. Event statistics reports are given to the departments two performance liasions to be added to the ClearPoint Data spreadsheet and are entered onto a monthly and quarterly Excel spreadsheet kept in the Sr. Admin. Assitant's Documents Library Statistics folder. The ClearPoint data excel spreadsheet is kept on the ClearPoint data (\\opendata) (U:) and hard copies of the reports are kept in a current FY Quartely binder.
