Measure Definition & Importance |
An Event Day is defined as any event taking place in any part of the facility. Event Days are important to track because it reflects the number of days the building is in use by contracted events. The Sales Team is responsible for long and short term booking strategies to maximize revenue/usage opportunities for FWCC and the City. Visit Fort Worth (formerly the Fort Worth Convention and Visitors Bureau (FWCVB) controls the bookings 18 months and out. The FWCC Sales Team works with Visit Fort Worth to book national and regional conventions, tradeshows, meetings and events. The Director of Sales identifies need dates at the Center with availability of downtown hotels rooms. The importance of tracking Event Days is to ensure that revenue is recognized and to keep a historical perspective of the number of event days held in the facility.

Data Source Details & Calculation Information |
The division's Sales team tracks Event Days for each event in the "Statistics" tab for that event in the department's Event Business Management System (Ungerboeck). The statistics are totaled and reported with the variance shown based on the previous year, with an explanation as to why there might be a variance. Event statistics reports are given to the departments two performance liasions to be added to the ClearPoint Data spreadsheet and are entered onto a monthly and quarterly Excel spreadsheet kept in the Sr. Admin. Assistant's Documents Library Statistics folder. The ClearPoint data excel spreadsheet is kept on the ClearPoint data (\\opendata) (U:) and hard copies of the reports are kept in a current FY Quarterly binder.
