Measure Definition & Importance |
Measures the average number of hours of professional and license training completed per employee during a reporting period. Professional training includes workshops, seminars, lectures, courses (excluding tuition reimbursement courses), and HR-provided training, whether completed in-person or on-line. License training includes all training required to obtain or maintain licenses and certifications required to perform employees' jobs.

FY21 Summary - Department training hours per employee is 8.07; lower than goal of 10. Although a lack of training due to the COVID-19 pandemic is a factor in not reaching the goal, it remains important for all Divisions to ensure completed training is documented to improve reporting toward this KPI

Data Source Details & Calculation Information |
Training records will be maintained by each division for its employees. These may be in the form of databases or spreadsheets. Each division will designate a professional training records coordinator, who will send that division's records monthly to be compiled on a departmental basis by the Training Program Coordinator or designee.
