| | Direct energy cost per million gallons treated - WaterWTR-Water |
Analysis | |
Don’t have Sept 2021 Electricity Bill to complete this KPI. Juanita stated it will be available first week of Nov 2021.
Measure Definition & Importance |
Measures the total energy cost from the water operations budget per MG of potable water treated and pumped. This describes the overall energy efficiency of treatment and pumping compared to previous years, though electricity purchase costs and transmission and distribution tariffs need to be taken into account when comparing various years. The goal is to show improvement in treatment and pumping equipment efficiency, encourage operations that reduces peak load charges and repumping costs, and closely monitor electrical charges and usage patterns to take advantage of cost saving opportunities.
