Measure Definition & Importance |
This measure will track total pounds collected by City provided residential and small commercial services from all sources including curbside garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk, and from residential Drop Off Stations. This data will provide a measurement of the growth (or decrease) of the total amount of waste collected by all city provided solid waste services on a per solid waste customer account basis.

Data Source Details & Calculation Information |
The data for this measurement is comprised of tonnage reports from the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) on blue cart recyclables as well as the drop off stations, the yard waste/organics processing at the Southeast landfill, and the tons of waste materials disposed of at the City's Southeast Landfill or other contracted disposal sites. Reports are forwarded from the receiving facilities on a weekly basis to a shared email address/folder.
