Measure Definition & Importance |
Ordinances enact legislation and resolutions enact policies. Various City projects are approved by ordinances and various City policies are approved by resolution; both documents reflect effective dates which provide authority to commence work on City contracts or when policies are instituted. City staff and contractors oftentimes need copies of these documents immediately after processing to furnish to the state or local agencies.
**Increase timely receipt of ordinances and resolutions by 3% through more frequent e-mails to Law Department requesting status of final/approved document.

Data Source Details & Calculation Information |
Documents are either retrieved from Council E-packet or directly from a City Attorney. Staff secquentially numbers documents, obtains appropriate signatures and uploads documents to Laserfiche portal and M&C Indexing System. Documents become available to internal and external customers by accessing the Public Information Portal on the City's website. This is a benchmarking measurement and results are provided to Assistant City Secretary to compile into monthly report. Measurement is dependent on receipt of final ordinance or resolution from the Law Department.
