Measure Definition & Importance |
Workforce development training and educational classes provide residents with opportunities to take advantage of career and economic advancement and greater quality of life. The Library partners with numerous community organizations to offer classes to develop computer and language skills, GED preparation and other classes needed by economically challenged populations. Most of these classes are offered through the E-Skills Library and Job Center, which is one of the Fort Worth Library's 16 locations. Some classes are offered at the East Berry Shamblee Branch Libraries. The target was based on the number of classes offered during the previous year. Factors that affect the target include capacity restrictions due to number of hours open per week designated facility sites and the ability of partner organizations to provide classes.
