Measure Definition & Importance |
Survey responses and ratings identify if library programs have effective desired outcome to teach the importance of reading to children. Paper surveys are offered to parents after their children attend or participate in a library program; participation is voluntary. One of the questions states: "As a result of attending Library programs, my child will likely read more." Rating response options are: Agree, Undecided or Disagree. The original target of 80% was based on the same target established for the grant that funded some of the programs. No historical data existed to base a target on.
