This employee survey question allows us to determine how city employees perceive our their department's openness to change, which is an essential aspect of continuous improvement. Through our Lean Program, we have made a concerted effort to encourage new ways of thinking, and encourage action as a result of these fresh new ideas. We believe that our organizational openness to new ideas will be a contributing factor in improving our processes and providing our customers with a unique and exceptional customer experience. We also believe that this openness to new ideas can fall flat without a willingness to make the tough changes. This information helps us to determine whether or not our efforts to encourage a culture of change has had a meaningful impact on employee's perception of the organization.

The employee survey is conducted approximately every 18 month

Data from the employee survey is manually transferred by Performance Office staff to a storage spreadsheet on the ClearPoint shared drive, here:

• Data is entered into the "ALL (enter data here)" tab
• Data for each section, 1-11 (as defined in Column A), is pulled into 11 separate tabs (1 for each numbered section)
• Each of these tabs is linked to ClearPoint via the data loader utility
