Measure Definition & Importance |
Review development building plans and revisions submitted by developers and citizens for accuracy and compliance with appropriate codes and ordinances. Assist the development community via plan review consultations to proactively encourage sound building practices. The total number of plans reviewed is an indicator of the volume of work being submitted and an economic indicator. It also helps us evaluate staffing levels to provide an exceptional customer experience and meet our stated review timelines. Plan review count is based on initial Building plan review of a set of building plans for permit. Revision count is based on revisions to the building, mechanical, electrical or plumbing plans in a plan set. Not all permits will require review in all disciplines. Consultations represent time spent with a customer face to face discussing a current or future project and may or may not be related to a permit. Credit is not given for both a plan review and consultation for a single action.

Data Source Details & Calculation Information |
The data is complied from individual logs kept by the plans examiners on a master list called the "20xx trend graph" which is stored on the development partition of the FS100 Server (X:\Activity & Performance Data\Plans Exam Data\Historical Data) in the appropriate year's folder
Sum all entries for each plans examiner from the following rows: (name) Com New, (name) Res New, (name) Com MEP, (name) Res MEP, (name) Com Consultation, (name) Res Consultation, (name) Com Walk-in, (name) Res Walk-ins.
