Prompt and predictable plan reviews are an exceptional customer experience that allow our developers to plan projects and help make Fort Worth an attractive place to do business, thus growing the tax base and improving the community.The building permitting process is comprised of multiple phases with the first being Plan Review. Plans are submitted for review prior to permitting to ensure that local, state, and federal laws regarding building safety are followed. The initial plan review is the first review of the building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems city staff does to identify areas of non-compliance. Subsequently, revisions are submitted and re-reviewed until the plans comply with the applicable codes.
