Description
This initiative is a key element in tracking the success of Waters Safety Culture and Identifying area that need improvement to ensure employees are working safe. This includes workers compensation, OSHA, etc. These programs are consistant with the Water industry and help to identify how we compare with other Water Utilities. The utility's approach to identify, preventing and tracking injury and illnesses has not kept pace with the growth of the city. This program will allow the utility to better identify areas of growth opportunity so that we are focused on ensuring that our employees are safely able to provide necessary services at a level that is acceptable.
Measurable Outcomes
AWWA Injury and Illness severity rating. Decrease OSHA Recordable rate. Decrease Lost Time Rates. Decrease DART Rates.
