      1. "A Day in the Life" of and I/E Tech - Provide interviews, a learning activity, and videos outlining a day in the life of an I/E technician.
      2. PENDING - FWISD and TCC South lead and execute the program. Right now we're providing support as needed since we're 2+ years out from potentially hiring participants.
      3. P-TECH Open House - We provide an overview of the program to potential students. This involves making a video, interviewing employees, and providing career insights

Description
Pathways in Technology, or P-TECH, is a partnership program between Fort Worth Water, TCC South Campus, and FWISD Early College High School where students begin their professional careers by attaining a professional certiification and work-based learning while still in high school. This intent of this program is to build a talent pipeliine for I/E Technicians and Water Systems Operators. Two positions that are historically hard to fill. A successful initiative will lower our vacancy rate and bring in 3-5 new employees per year from high school. The I/E Technician program completed its first full year in 2020 and the Water Systems operator will begin in the fall of 2022. We don't expect to see any results from this program for another 2 years in the I/E Technician program and 4 years for the Water Systems Operator program.
Measurable Outcomes
Reduced vacancy rate for I/E and Water Systems Operator positions. Hire 3-5 participants for this program.
